Tandem: Prime Video x Prime

Brief

How do we promote the hottest new shows now streaming on Prime Video but also promote the benefits of having a Prime membership? Tandem.

Prime Video showcase their entertainment offering in their trailers but how do we also draw attention to Prime’s incredible membership value? The Tandem format, allows us to essentially add a trailer to the Prime Video truck, keeping viewers attention with something familiar but then advertising Prime’s benefits in a short 10” burst.

Solution

Depending on the content, we used a range of techniques from directing live action shoots to directing VFX, creating quick read visual concepts for each advert. Whilst we worked with Prime Video content solely, we needed to consider creating sequences for different categories and genres. There was sports with the Premier League and Champion’s League adverts to blockbuster series such as The Boys, Good Omens, Without Remorse & Lord of the Rings as well as animated children’s films, such as Hotel Transylvania. This allowed us to really flex our creative muscles with different styles.

Results

The creative has become a go-to year on year advertising strategy for Amazon to advertise the Prime Membership alongside Prime Video entertainment offering as it’s incredibly efficient. It continues to run in 2025.

As a small note, you will notice how the branding changes throughout each execution in this project. This reflect how the Prime brand has evolved over the years.
